What is this workshop about?

The era of Singapore’s CET System where WSQ Frameworks and Qualifications took centre stage, has since evolved with the introduction of the SkillsFuture in 2015. This was followed by the launch of various sectoral Skills Frameworks beginning in 2016.

The Skills Framework is an integral component of the Industry Transformation Maps and is co-created by Employers, Industry Associations, Unions and Government for the Singapore workforce. With these new initiatives, there are new demands placed on the Adult Educators and TAE Practitioners to participate and apply the Skills Frameworks in their course of work.

The workshop will share about the evolving roles of Adult Educators, and discuss how Adult Educators could respond and participate in the SkillsFuture initiatives.

Mr Thomas Yeo is an experienced workforce development specialist with more than 15 years of experience in the continuing education and training (CET) sector. His expertise is in national workforce or TVET development, competency-based human resources development, business and productivity consultancy, and corporate training for enterprises. Prior to starting his consultancy practice, he was with the Workforce Development Agency (now known as SkillsFuture Singapore) leading the WSQ policy unit, and conduct of quality assurance of WSQ Competency Frameworks, Standards, organisation and course accreditation.
